Leslie G. Sparks is the founder and President of Leslie G. Sparks, P.C. Mr. Sparks is a native Oklahoman, having resided on a farm in eastern Oklahoma County as a child and having graduated from Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City in 1968. He has resided in Oklahoma City and Edmond, Oklahoma ever since. He received an Associate of Arts from Florida College in Temple Terrace, Florida in 1970, a Bachelor of Arts Degree with double major in Sociology and Psychology from Central State College in Edmond in 1974, a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from Central State University in 1978 and his Juris Doctor, from Oklahoma City University in 2000.

Mr. Sparks began his legal career while attending Oklahoma City University School of law by working as a Deputy Court Clerk for the Oklahoma County Court Clerk’s Office and as a Deputy Supreme Court Clerk for the Oklahoma Supreme Court Clerk’s Office, 1998 to 2001. After receiving his license to practice law in Oklahoma he became an associate attorney for Denker & Butler, PLLC and upon leaving that firm in 2002 he established his own corporation. He remains president of Leslie G. Sparks, P.C.

  In 1998 Mr. Sparks was awarded a CALI Award from the Center for Computer Assisted Legal Research for highest grade in the class for Oklahoma City University’s Legal Research and Writing II.  In 2000 he was the author of a legal research paper entitled J.J. Wallace v. Town of Norman, Analysis of Municipal Corporate Liability for Racially Discriminatory Action in 1898 Oklahoma Territory, which was quoted in professor Alfred L. Brophy’s book, RECONSTRUCTING THE DREAMLAND: REPARATION FOR THE TULSA RACE RIOT OF 1921 (Oxford University Press, 2001).

  Most recently, in 2020 and in 2021, Mr. Sparks was the recipient of Awards of Excellence from the Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association for his contribution in helping develop a Guardianship Handbook. The Oklahoma State Legislature mandated that the Oklahoma Bar Association develop such a handbook and the task was appointed to the bars’ Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Section.

  Mr. Sparks is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Oklahoma County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Estate Planning, Probate & Trust Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association. He is admitted to practice law in all Oklahoma State District Courts, the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals, the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals the Supreme Court of the State of Oklahoma and the United State District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.
